LeBron James is urged to retire soon by an NBA legend.

Even though LeBron James is in his 21st year of NBA play and is quite productive, Charles Barkley believes he should retire soon.

Lakers 'real' candidates for next head coach both have strong connection to LeBron James: report | Fox News

During the regular season and the team’s five playoff games against the Nuggets in the first round, James was the Lakers’ greatest player.

During the regular season, James, 39, averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 54 percent shooting from the field.

LeBron led the Lakers in scoring, assists, and steals during the postseason. He averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.8 points on 50.6 percent shooting from the field.

Barkley, though, believes James need to ponder about retiring with honor intact.

Barkley expressed his hope that he retires while he is still able to play on ESPN Cleveland 850AM. “It wasn’t pretty when I watched Michael Jordan play for the Washington Wizards.” Patrick Ewing of the Orlando Magic was what I saw. LeBron James should retire sooner rather than later, in my opinion.

Barkley continued, stating that since Kevin Durant, LeBron, and Steph were eliminated in the first round, a guard change was taking place in front of our own eyes.

Barkley stated, “It ends badly for everybody.” “If you continue to play, Father Time will eventually kick you in the ass. He will always prevail. And the issue is, even though he seems to be playing at a high level, I hear these folks on TV say things like, “Wow, he’s playing at such a high, high level.” Yes, that is accurate; he is performing adequately. However, he is competing in the play-in event alongside Anthony Davis. What tier is he genuinely competing at then?

The summer is expected to be filled with speculation and queries about the league’s all-time top scorer.

James declined to comment when the Lakers concluded Game 5 when asked if it had been his final game wearing purple and gold.

Then, according to speculations, LeBron is no longer giving his long-held desire of playing in the NBA alongside his son Bronny top priority.

It’s going to be an extended summer, so buckle up.
